Technology 8 is designed to develop the student's understanding of systems in fields such as:

| communications, and |
| agriculture |
Students complete a variety of applied activities through working with tools, machines and devices used in the home and workplace. Technology 8 enables students to understand the concepts that underlie technological systems and how these systems influence their total lifestyle-including home, school and the world of work.
Each June, Technology 8 students take an 8th grade Assessment Test to determine their overall understanding of the concepts taught.
