Mr. Cartolano teaches Media Art and Digital Design classes at H. Frank Carey High School.
The Photography Club, which is run by Mr. Cartolano of the art department, offers willing students the chance to explore the interesting field of photography. Meetings are held every
Wednesday in Room 222 and this year's dues are $10. During photography club meetings students may take cameras out to shoot, see what develops in the darkroom, or even step into the digital darkroom and work on the computers with Adobe Photoshop. With the assistance of Mr. Needham, the Photography Club will be expanded to include video film-making.
The Wet Room

The Wet Room is where students bring developed photos to be put in the sink. This is necessary to wash off any excess chemicals. Shown in this shot is the sink and many of the student's photos hanging up so they can dry.

The Dark Room is where the entire process of developing the photo takes place. Using equipment shown above, the student can make photos up to the size 8x10.
Student using Adobe
Photoshop

This student is using the computer program Adobe Photoshop to spruce up his pictures either taken with the 35mm or digital cameras. There are 10 computers in the "digital darkroom" and all are supplied with Adobe Software.
