Model UN is a club in which students participate in riveting debates concerning global issues. Representing one of the member nation states of the UN, delegates discuss a world issue of importance using their nation's policies. The objective of a Model UN debate is to devise solutions to a sometimes controversial issue that satisfies the global community. Delegates must overcome differences in policies, national sovereignty, and economics to come as close to a concensus as possible.
