If you like math, then join Mathletes. This club is open to students grades 7-12.
Mathletes meet October through March every Tuesday after school. There are five competitions held for junior high and six for senior high throughout the year. Once a year students in grades 9-12 participate in a competition held at SUNY University where they compete against students from several schools in Nassau County. Mathletes also compete against other Mathletes in the Sewanhaka Central High School District. In preparation for these competitions, students take practice tests during their weekly afternoon meetings.
