The Music Department offers a variety of course offerings. The curriculum offers students the opportunity to:

• read music proficiently, develop technique and build artistry
  
  

• perform a variety of repertoire
  
  

• study music from a historical and analytical point of view
  
  

• build a foundation for a lifelong appreciation of the arts

Students may enhance skills acquired in class through the extra curricular program.

The Music Department encourages participation in Music Festivals sponsored by various professional associations.

The H. Frank Carey Chapter of the Tri-M Music Honor Society is open to students who meet musical and academic criteria.

The 2008-2009 Season includes a variety of performances and events.
