Stage Crew
Objective

Plays and
Events

Stage Crew is a great club for anyone interested in building and painting stage sets, learning lighting design, sound, stage management, and spot light operations for school plays. Students from all grades are welcome to join the fun and participate in Stage Crew.

Objectives:

  • Building sets for both the Junior and Senior High Dramas and the Musical.
The first thing you learn when joining Stage Crew is building and painting stage sets.  The reason is that we have to start building the set for the Sr. High Drama that comes up in late November or early December.

Next, you'll learn how to follow play scripts so that you will know when to go out on stage to move set pieces for the next scene change. Also you learn the audio and lighting for the stage. After the play is over you help strike (takedown) the set and then join the cast for a party at a cast member's house.

To raise money for miscellaneous building supplies, we bake and sell cookies after school and at all of the performances.

Stage crew members also get involved in other school events such as the winter and spring Junior and Senior High Concerts, Junior/Senior Challenge Night, District  Sports Night, Evening Awards Ceremonies, and Home Football Games, to mention a few. to top

Meetings:

Stage Crew meetings are held in the auditorium after school on Wednesday and Saturdays as needed. The club advisors are Mr. Peter Vitale and Ms. Barbara Priester.. to top

Upcoming Events

Last Spring the musical was "Beauty and the Beast". Stage Crew members performed all lighting and sound cues, spot cues, and constructed the set. They also worked backstage as managers and stage hands. to top
