The Social Studies Department offers a variety of course offerings:

There are a variety of senior high elective courses that students may elect to take to complete a five-year sequence in social studies.

The Social Studies Department purpose is to allow students to be able to:

  • Participate in American culture as active and informed citizens
  • Travel the Information Highway with a sense of direction, purpose, and understanding
  • Use information to compare, analyze, synthesize, and evaluate opinions & decisions
  • Make informed judgments on life issues
  • Express orally and in writing their ideas, proposals, recommendations, and assessments
